Defiantly NOT Copadichromis chrysonotus.
This is what Copadichromis chrysonotus should look like. Very similar to Copadichromis trewavasae.

When I have time today I'll look through some stuff & might be able to say what they are.

Nah not Verdun's, Ive had them before, they are better colored than those on the NZ forum. I'll have a look around tonight. They look so damm familiar, its actually annoying me not knowing what they are :(

they do look alike but i cannot confirm that they are so it will make selling fry difficult will it not? its hard to tell whether these females will loose their body spots like the jalo

OK so I have had a look....
They look like they are:
Copadichromis species
Possibly Copadichromis verduyni (even though I said I didn't think they were, its the closet thing to it)

Whatever they are, I think they look good and will grow out to something real nice as they get bigger.
Please keep us updated with pics if you can, I'm very interested to see what they are.
We haven't had Copadichromis verduyni in Aus for many years now :(

They only thing that makes me think twice is the barring.. Very close together.. Time will tell.
Another option is to email Ad Konings and ask him. He MAY know.
